General Patton once said, "Get the truth! Get all of the facts."
This is good advice. As a military man, he knew that any mission launched on a false assumption was bound for disaster.
It would seem that many people have been lied to and cheated by ... themselves.
Perceiving themselves in habitually limiting ways, they have formed false assumptions about what they can or cannot do.
It's interesting that some people see themselves as "homeless people" while others in the same predicament see themselves as "temporarily without a home".
The truth: the way we see ourselves has a great deal to do with our success or failure in life!
"Beware of no one, more than of yourself; we carry our worst enemies within us." - Charles Spurgeon
A great friend of mine, at one time in her life, saw herself as a good-for-nothing misfit. All she could see were her imperfections as she locked out all her winning qualities. What's worse, the more she focused on what she saw, the harder it became for her to see anything else! Due to her poor self-perception she had no friends, never wanted to go anywhere and always felt inferior in a crowd.
Today, however, she is confident, highly successful and is a living testimony to the fact that the strategies of Mission Possible work.
The question is, "What do you see when you look into the mirror?"
A depressed and hopelessly lost individual or do you see someone who is unique and endowed with the seeds of greatness?
If you look hard enough, you may actually begin to see a person who is capable of achieving the impossible!
What "can be" in your life? What "can be" in your relationships? What "can be" in your bank account? The answer is always the same. It really depends on how you choose to look at it.
As Mission Possible will provide you with the tools to carve out your success, begin to see yourself now as a person who is capable of achieving it.
